Fibenol is an Estonian cleantech company making more from less by turning lower-quality hardwood and plywood industry residues into high-value biomaterials. Our specialty product, Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC), is a renewable, food-contact-safe additive that enhances processability, barrier properties, and recyclability of paper-based packaging. MCC offers a scalable and sustainable alternative to fossil-based multilayer materials, helping the packaging industry meet both performance demands and circular economy goals. Its development is further advanced through the WOODCELL and REDYSIGN projects, together with industry partners.
