Ecohelix is a Swedish biotechnology company designing and producing sustainable materials for a more circular economy. Our unique, patented technology mimics a natural process in wood formation, refining currently underutilized lignin-hemicellulosic side streams from the pulp industry into high-performing and sustainable wood-based biopolymers called WOODMER®.

These biopolymers provide a green, low-carbon alternative to traditional oil and food-based polymers used in various products including adhesives, paper chemicals, and heat-seal coatings for packaging. By converting waste into valuable products, we help industries to reduce their reliance on fossil materials, cut down on greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to a more sustainable future. Our technology has been proven at a demo scale with several partners and now focusing on commercial-scale production.
