Mike leads the EPR work within CEFLEX and supports in other areas related to the collection, sorting, and recycling of flexible packaging. He has over 32 years’ experience in the waste management and recycling industry. Around half of his career has been spent in commercial and operational roles and the remainder as a consultant. As well as CEFLEX, he is Managing Director of circular plastics association EPRO and works as a consultant to PCEP (Polyolefin Circular Economy Platform). He also chairs the technical group in EXPRA (Extended Producer Responsibility Alliance). Throughout his career he has been heavily involved in the plastics recycling supply chain. Areas of specialism include the collection and treatment of recyclables, materials recycling, markets for secondary raw materials, extended producer responsibility (EPR), and waste policy & legislation.
