Jaap has an MSc in Applied Physics, and an EngD and PhD in Applied Mathematics, all from Eindhoven University of Technology. He has more than 25 years of experience in Dow in polymers and has contributed to many process and product developments related to packaging applications, with a focus on polyethylene. Some of his past contributions have enabled downgauging and thus reduction in material use in flexible film applications. His current ambition is to advance polymer circularity, combining scientific and technological developments with value-chain partnerships. He is R&D Fellow in Dow and Professor of Physical Chemistry of Polymers at TU/e.
