Klaus Wohnig is an internationally recognized expert in the field of circular economy and sustainability. After two decades in managerial assignments in internationally operating companies in various sectors he served more than a decade as CEO and member of the board of APK AG, a leading tech provider to the circular economy for plastics. During that time he was active in various initiatives and associations such as Ellen Mac Arthur Foundations New Plastics Economy, Circular Plastics Alliance, Cospatox, CEFLEX, HoilyGrail 2.0, PCEP, TecPart and Plastic Recyclers Europe. In 2023 he started Atmedio, a network of independent experts advising stakeholders in the industry in all aspects of the circular economy and sustainability. Most recently, he initiated and founded the DROP-IN Dissolution Recycling Of Plastics Initiative. Moreover, Klaus Wohnig is board member of the German recycling and waste management industry associations BDE and BVSE.
