Harriet leads Chiesi UK’s cross-cutting programme of Government and NHS Advocacy, External Communications and Shared Value and Sustainability (SV&S) delivery plan for the UK affiliate. An essential part of the SV&S plan is to lead by example and ensure the company’s extensive sustainability commitments and credentials, including B Corp status gained in 2018 and recertified in 2023 are used as a force for good. Harriet has represented Chiesi as a founding member of The Circularity in Primary Pharmaceutical Packaging Accelerator (CiPPPA) and Chairs the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) Sustainability Strategic Group. Harriet studied Pharmacy at University of Manchester followed by Diploma in Public Health. Harriet practised as an NHS pharmacist for over 18 years before moving to National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as Head of Policy and Implementation, followed by a similar policy focused role with the ABPI. Harriet joined Chiesi in January 2018 to lead a new team for the UK business, focusing on Public Affairs and NHS Engagement. In 2020 Harriet led the creation and implementation of the first inhaler postal recycling and recovery scheme – the award winning ‘Take AIR’.
