Maija Aho is the Director Sustainability, Climate and Circularity at Stora Enso Packaging Materials. In her current position, Maija oversees both the climate and circularity matters with ownership of the Packaging Materials Climate Roadmap for Scopes 1, 2, and 3, as well as broader value chain collaboration work in circularity.

Maija’s career commitment is rooted in reconciling the demands of an expanding population and consumption habits with the finite resources of our planet. Hence, Maija spends her time driving the transition from fossil to renewable materials and bioeconomy, and from linear to circular economy models.

Maija has over 15 years of sustainability and fiber industry-specific experience which spans multiple facets of organizations, including production, R&D, sales, marketing, and management.
