Biography
Elodie holds a Master’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering and a PhD in Polymers & Composites from INSA Lyon. With over 23 years of experience in sustainable materials development, she has worked across leading chemical companies including Ashland, Wacker Chemie, and Arkema, as well as in collaborative, circular economy-focused R&D initiatives such as IRIS. Since 2020, Elodie has served as Sustainability Director International at Graphic Packaging International, where she leads the company’s global sustainability roadmap in alignment with corporate strategy. Her work focuses on advancing the sustainability of fibre-based packaging, and she actively contributes to industry-wide initiatives such as the EU-funded BioSUPPack project and the 4evergreen alliance, where she also serves as an ambassador. Particularly relevant to her speaker topic, Elodie has authored numerous publications and holds patents in the field of biopolymer barrier coatings, including plastic-free solutions developed more than 15 years ago. She brings this deep technical expertise to her current role, helping to identify how innovations in barrier coatings can meet evolving sustainability goals, regulatory demands, and market expectations.
