Katja Tuomola is the Head of Group Sustainability & Marketing Communications at MM Group, based in Austria. She leads key strategic areas including sustainability, product safety, responsible sourcing, health & safety, and marketing communications. A seasoned business operations executive and recognized sustainability change maker, Katja drives cultural transformation and business growth through hands-on leadership, employee empowerment, and the creation of sustainability-focused business value.

With over 25 years of experience in sustainability, sales, business development, global product safety, and product development across the forest and paper chemical industries, Katja brings deep expertise and a practical approach to complex challenges. She is known for translating difficult sustainability tasks into clear strategies, actionable KPIs, and engaging materials that deliver impact.

Katja holds a Master’s degree in wood and paper chemistry from the University of Jyväskylä. She is also a motivational coach, a skilled change manager, and a frequent keynote speaker at international industry events.
