Massimiliano joined Mondelēz International’s European leadership team in January 2022. With a career spanning 3 continents and diverse industries, his move into Corporate & Government Affairs began at British American Tobacco, when he led the CGA function first in Italy then in London, Brussels (BAT Representation office to the EU institutions), and finally in BAT France, based in Paris. After 14 years in the company, Massimiliano moved to GlaxoSmithKline, a global healthcare company, first as Head of Government Affairs, Communication and Market Access in Italy and then promoted to Vice President Communications and Government Affairs and Market Access for Europe (including the Brussels EU Representation office), based in London. During this time Massimiliano successfully navigated the highly regulated and complex pharma industry, demonstrating strong capabilities in Public Affairs, Crisis Management, CSR and Media management.


Since joining Mondelēz International, Massimiliano has built a strong Corporate and Government Affairs function, focused on leveraging its role as strategic business partner to the European business and ensuring Mondelēz International’s reputation and external engagement with EU stakeholders.


Massimiliano is Italian, married to a French lady, and lives with their 2 sons in Zurich.
