Trina Matta is Executive Director of Policy at The Recycling Partnership, a mission-driven NGO committed to advancing a circular economy by building a better recycling system. Trina leads a team that works both on advocating for EPR and on supporting the successful implementation of EPR laws in the United States. As the former lead for The Film and Flexibles Recycling Coalition at The Recycling Partnership, Trina collaborated with MRFs, reclaimers and producers to find innovative ways to recycle more film packaging. Trina has worked in the field of recycling and sustainability for over 10 years at the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, RRS, and the State of North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality. Trina holds a Master in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lives in Atlanta, GA where she enjoys reading mysteries, cooking food her children refuse to eat, and taking walks in the woods.
