Biography
Dr. Tucker and her organizations were early global leaders in developing and implementing reusable service systems and tech-enabled software and hardware for reusable foodware. Her expertise spans all aspects of reusable packaging systems, from initial design, forward and reverse logistics, asset management, IoT technology, supply chains, health, safety and regulatory issues, to point-of-return strategies, and life-cycle assessment.
With nearly a decade of operational experience, she co-founded the NGO Perpetual to fill a gap in available expertise needed for a systems thinking approach to scaling reuse systems broadly. Perpetual offers crucial technical knowledge and support—including a systems-thinking approach, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and design and implementation assistance—to facilitate the implementation of reuse systems by governments, and other entities, at scale.
Based in Paris, France, Dr. Tucker collaborates with inter-governmental organizations, governments, industry, businesses, and communities worldwide, addressing diverse settings from taco stands and traditional markets to retail megastores and malls – with a laser focus on the advancement of scaled open-network reuse systems globally. Dagny taught at Parsons The New School for Design, was Managing Director of Strategic Global Affairs for New Hope Natural Media, and Executive Director of Peace Initiatives Institute. She holds a doctorate in International Peace, Conflict & Development and an M.S. in Design in Urban Ecologies.
