Dr. Micaela VANNINI earned her Ph.D. in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Bologna. Her expertise primarily involves the preparation and characterization of novel polymeric materials with peculiar final properties, usually polycondensates such as polyesters and polyamides (especially focused on the synthesis from monomers and NMR characterization), composites, and nanocomposites. The main focus of her research is the derivation of monomers and additives from biomass to obtain biopolymers and biocomposites. She is a co-author of over 50 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and has been involved in several H2020 projects.
