Patrick van Baal is a seasoned leader in packaging development, driven by a passion for sustainability and innovation. Currently, he is exploring new challenges in the packaging industry while serving as the chairman of the board of the National Test Centre for Circular Plastics. Additionally, he provides strategic packaging support to companies on a freelance basis. Patrick has amassed extensive experience throughout his career, including seven years at FrieslandCampina, where he led global packaging development and sustainable packaging strategy. He also spent three years leading packaging development for Danone Waters in China and five years at Danone Baby & Medical Nutrition. His managment career began with four years of leading packaging development at Campina Netherlands. Through these roles, Patrick has developed a robust understanding of packaging sustainabilty and r&d organisation design, making him a valuable asset in the pursuit of innovative packaging solutions.
