Always interested in scientific topics, Manon chose bio-engineering studies. She then specialised herself in Sciences and Technologies of the Environment. Manon wanted to work on a theme with high impact on environment to contribute to preservation of resources. She then decided to work on the circularity of plastic, which is a resource of great value, often misunderstood and wasted. This is how she joined the technical knowledge center Plarebel five years ago. Plarebel is a non-profit organization promoting circular economy of plastics at Belgian and European level. More precisely, Manon is working as Expert Recycling & Circular Plastics. This broad subject covers design for recycling, collection, sorting and recycling processes as well as the reinjection of the recyclates into the circular value chain. She combines practical work on the field with theoretical knowledge in order to give the best advice to make economy of plastics always more circular. She is working closely with the local EPR systems for packaging (e.g. Fost Plus & Valipac).
