Benoît Piette is a professional in packaging, graduated from ESIEC (ESI Reims) as a Packaging Engineer, and in sustainable development with nearly 30 years of experience, mainly in the food industry. After a first Swiss experience in ACV at Kraft-Food, Benoît joined Lactalis in France. He spent nearly 10 years working in purchasing and packaging development, both on industrial sites and at head office. Subsequently, Benoît joined the Danone company. He initially worked as a packaging project manager within the infant nutrition division until he took on the role of Packaging Technology Manager where he developed new packaging materials to improve the environmental footprint. In 2015, Benoit joined Danone Nutricia Research in the Netherlands as Senior Packaging Sustainability Manager where he was responsible for defining the packaging ecodesign methodology, guidelines and tools for the group. He was also in charge of the packaging circularity strategy and roadmap for the Specialized Nutrition division. He then joined Quantis in 2022 to lead the Global Ecodesign & Circularity offer. He now runs Bluenote Pack, which he founded, a consulting company specializing in support in eco-design and circularity of packaging.
