Jolanda de Rooij is a senior global sustainability manager at Unilever, with particular responsibility for Unilever’s circular economy for (plastic) packaging strategy and implementation globally, a role she took up in April 2022. In her role, Jolanda is responsible for embedding circular economy across the functions and business groups as well as heading external engagement, advocacy, and partnerships. Previously Jolanda spent 14 years working in a variety of strategy roles within R&D and Supply Chain at Unilever, focusing on strategy, process improvement and data analytics. Prior to that Jolanda worked as an S&OP manager at LU General Biscuits.
Jolanda holds a master’s degree in strategic management, and in her private time she loves to do sports (particularly triathlons), dancing and hiking. Another passion of her are food forests: together with her husband she is actively setting up a food forest in her back garden.
